It will getcha!
Stress is the reason my blog, "Never a dull moment"...has been well, pretty dull. HA! It's so hard to fit everything I need to do in my oh so hectic schedule. I know you ladies can relate! I love my job, I love spending time with my 2012 ladies, with my FYE ladies, volunteering, road trips, etc. So funny that even fun things can sometimes end up being stressful. I'm slowly but surely learning to say NO, and realizing that it's SO important to do absolutely nothing sometimes. Lay in my pajamas all day. Take a Saturday afternoon nap. Two of my favorite pastimes! These days, my biggest stress reliever, and treat to myself, is Yoga. I never thought I would be interested in Yoga, but I decided to try it and I'm so glad I did. I've been attending class for several months now and have a GREAT teacher! I go to class on Monday nights @ 7:30 near Cameron Village - if anyone would be interested in joining me - I'd love to take you along. It's very relaxing and not at all difficult - very suitable for all athletic, or in my case non- athletic types!
Take time for YOU this week! Find a quiet spot to read. Take a walk. Take a nap. Stay in your pajamas until noon and watch Lifetime movies. You deserve it! :)

It's actually really easy being green!
Hey there!
I never thought I would say it,but "going green" is actually really easy...and FUN! I used to nonchalantly toss my cans in the trash and would roll my eyes at people who recycled. Those days are over. I'm a green machine. Ok, so I don't have a solor powered car or my own organic garden...but I have found ways to be green that fit my lifestyle. The changes I have made are simple, but very effective. I take reuseable grocery totes to the store, I recycle all newspapers, cans, plastic, and cardboard, I love buying from local vendors and shopping at the farmers market, I no longer wrap my gifts in wasteful paper ( I was never really good at that anyway....), I take items I no longer use to The Daisy Trade, I no longer receive bills via paper mail....and the list goes on!
Have you gone green? If so, what are some changes that you've made? Or perhaps you're like I USED to be -totally annoyed by the green movement. I would love to hear your honest thoughts.
PS -I will have a "green treat" for you in class on Thursday. :)

A few of my favorite things...in Raleigh.
Hello to my FYE friends!
In my life, there is a NEVER a dull moment. I often tell people I could star in my own reality show! Between my family, friends, neighbors, and the ladies of the Class of 2012, I have MANY characters in my life. They keep me on my toes and help to make my life interesting.... never dull :)
All of you are new to Meredith, but many of you are new to Raleigh as well. Raleigh is a wonderful city with LOTS to do! Whatever you are into, there is a little something for everybody.
To me, Meredith is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. It's sometimes hard to leave! Having said that, I would encourage each of you take time to go out and explore this exciting city. To help get you started, I wanted to share a few of my "favorites" in Raleigh....
